This well-established and respected business services group are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving organisation and play a key role in delivering critical IT projects for their public sector clientele.
We seek an IT Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing projects within the public sector. Experience with Linux is beneficial but not essential.
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, issue logs, and progress reports.
- Effectively manage project budgets, timelines, resources, and scope, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Utilise your strong Linux and ITIL experience to inform project planning and execution.
- Ensure all projects adhere to Prince2 methodologies and best practices.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes within the organisation.
Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a strong focus on delivering projects for public sector clients. Current Prince2 Practitioner or Foundation accreditation is essential. Solid experience and understanding of Linux environments. Strong knowledge and experience of ITIL frameworks and practices. Demonstrable experience in managing the full project lifecycle. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Must live within a reasonable commutable distance to facilitate hybrid working (1-2 days in the office per week).
