Elevate Supply is excited to be working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in North Sheffield (S5) to recruit a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Geography Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire young minds and foster a love of Geography in a well-supported and forward-thinking educational setting. This full-time teaching role is to begin as soon as possible and will run through to the end of the academic year, with the potential for extension or a permanent post.

Pay Rate: Β£140 – Β£200 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Role: As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You'll bring the world to life in the classroom, using creative teaching strategies and real-world examples to spark curiosity and deepen students' understanding of the planet and its people.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
  • Differentiating teaching to meet the needs of learners across varying ability levels.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and interventions.
  • Engage in the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and school events.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, collaboration, and curriculum development.
  • Work effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student success.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A strong academic background in Geography or related field.
  • Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
  • Passion for your subject and a commitment to student progress.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A reflective, professional approach to teaching and learning.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Location: Based at a popular secondary school in North Sheffield (S5), easily accessible from areas such as Shiregreen, Parson Cross, and Wincobank.
