Base pay range Salary: up to ~£100k (potentially some flex) 38 days of annual leave + bank holidays Location: London or Edinburgh (ideally 1 office day/week, open to once/fortnight in London) With 1.1 million members and over 300 corporate clients (including the likes of Amazon, Google and HSBC to name just a few), this rapidly growing data and technology platform is a UK leader in their field. As the company\’s first dedicated Data hire , working directly under the CTO, you\’ll establish the foundation for their data infrastructure and analytics capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to build and shape the data landscape from the ground up, working closely with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision-making across the organisation. This pivotal role sits somewhere between Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering and will involve: Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data models and pipelines to ensure clean, well-structured data for analytics and reporting Implementing and maintaining ELT/ETL processes using tools like DBT and Fivetran Owning and optimising data warehousing ( Snowflake ) and ensuring efficient data management Collaborating with software engineers, product managers and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver high-quality, accessible datasets Establishing best practices for data governance, quality, documentation and version control Identifying opportunities to improve data accessibility and driving automation in data workflows Must have requirements: Strong proficiency in SQL and DBT At least intermediate proficiency in Python and Git Experience designing, building and maintaining data pipelines Familiarity with data warehousing architecture and implementation Visualisation experience, ideally with Tableau Experience with Fivetran and Snowflake Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS) Experience with Terraform and Docker Please note: unfortunately, this role does not offer VISA sponsorship.
