We’re working with a growing MSP based in Central London looking for a capable and confident 2nd Line Engineer with strong networking expertise. You’ll be the go-to escalation point for 1st Line Engineers, resolving more complex issues across Microsoft 365 and network environments, with a particular focus on robust networking skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary escalation point for 1st Line Engineers, resolving technical issues efficiently and thoroughly
- Troubleshoot and support a wide range of environments, with a strong focus on networking infrastructure
- Support Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows Server environments
- Manage and maintain network devices — ideally including Meraki, UniFi, or DrayTek
- Assist with the onboarding of new clients and contribute to infrastructure projects
- Liaise directly with clients, providing updates and delivering high-quality customer service
- Use ConnectWise (or similar PSA/RMM tools) to manage tickets and monitor systems
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to ongoing service improvements
Key Requirements:
- Previous 2nd Line experience within an MSP environment, supporting multiple clients
- Strong networking skills - solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, VPNs, configuring, routing, switching, and hands-on experience with Meraki, UniFi, or DrayTek devices
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Windows Server and Active Directory administration
- Experience with PowerShell scripting (bonus, not required)
- Experience with ConnectWise (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn
