IT Support Engineer
Location: Windsor
Salary: £35,000 (+10% Car Allowance)
Working Environment: On-site / In office

The IT Support Engineer is responsible in assisting the Technology Manager in the management, installation, maintenance, availability and security of existing and new hardware and software technology throughout the organization and ensuring staff know how to access and utilize the technology relevant to their role.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, tablets, software, and hardware
• Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
• Track and maintain inventories of hardware and software
General
• Optimize, maintain, and manage the technology environment and network in a manner that delivers high efficiency along with the required resilience
• Develop and maintain a clear framework of IT policies, standards and strategies that will assist staff in accessing and using the technology provided
• Understand General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) principles and ensure these are incorporated into the framework of IT policies and procedures
• Prepare and maintain a complete list of technology equipment and software within the organization, and carry out periodic audits to track the same to ensure the status, current location and usage remains as planned
• Maintain relationships with technology partners, including help desk functions provided by third parties
• Ensure network components meet the needs of the system and work together seamlessly
• Research and stay current on new IT equipment and solutions
• Ensure efficient technology working practices through uniform processes and procedures across the organization
• Ensure efficient and effective technology and internet access for all groups of users
• Organize troubleshooting or repairs when necessary for all IT and technology equipment
• Take time to read notices, keep to deadlines and carry out duties as effectively and efficiently as possible
• Attend meetings as required.
