Are you an M&E Engineer looking for your next opportunity? Would you like to work in a renowned company which offers upskill and training? Randstad Construction & Property are working on behalf of a National Facilities Management company to find an experienced and collaborative M&E Engineer to join their team in Inverness. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance across the various sites.
Location: Central belt
Salary: Competitive (up to GBP45,000 per annum)
Contract: Permanent / Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and building services.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operation of systems.
- Perform installations, commissioning, and upgrades of M&E equipment.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of work activities, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an M&E Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, BMS, and plumbing.
- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (HNC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of current health and safety regulations.
Desirable:
- Commercial gas and/or F-Gas certification.
- Experience with energy efficiency and sustainability projects.
- Familiarity with project management principles.
