We specialize in high-load software development and provide one of the best technology solutions worldwide. We are seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL Database Engineer / DBA to join our team. The position implies working hand-in-hand with the various technical teams to build and support reliable and scalable solutions at Altenar. The responsibility area requires a deep understanding of data structuring and experience in developing and administering PostgreSQL and some experience with MS SQL databases. Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases
- Optimize database performance through query optimization, indexing, and tuning
- Monitor and troubleshoot database-related issues and provide solutions
- Work with developers to ensure database design meets application requirements
- Manage database security, backup, and recovery procedures
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to implement database solutions
- Support highly-available systems in constantly growing workload environments
- Continuously update core knowledge and skills in the RDBMS area
- Contribute to and maintain documentation for the solutions provided
What we expect from you:
- 3+ years of experience in RDBMS administration
- Expertise in SQL query optimization, performance tuning, and monitoring
- Knowledge of high-load systems and experience in design and implementation
- Experience in configuring PostgreSQL for performance patterns
- Experience in building CI / CD
