We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Spare Parts Supply & Inventory Specialist to manage the inbound supply of parts from our central warehouse in China to the UK. Responsibilities include:
- Manage the end-to-end supply planning of spare parts from our central warehouse in China to the UK distribution network.
- Monitor and optimise inventory levels to ensure high service levels without overstocking.
- Coordinate with the China supply team and UK stakeholders on order planning and prioritisation.
- Oversee import logistics, including customs documentation, clearance processes, and freight bookings.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain, balancing availability and budget.
- Analyse demand patterns and collaborate with forecasting teams to support data-driven replenishment decisions.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead times, stock turnover, fill rates, and freight costs.
- Collaborate closely with Aftersales, Logistics, Finance, and Suppliers to resolve supply-related issues.
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, or inventory planning, ideally in the automotive or aftermarket parts sector.
- Knowledge of international supply chain operations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using ERP systems (SAP and Dynamics) and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and project coordination skills.
- Mandarin Chinese language skills would be an advantage but are not required.
