As a Seasonal Centre Senior, you will be joining a vibrant and lively staff team that believe in offering the best possible experience to our customers. Rockley are now recruiting motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team in a Seasonal Centre Senior position. This role is perfect for an experienced RYA Senior Instructor ready to take on a leadership position in a fast-paced, rewarding watersports environment across our two Poole-based centres - Rockley Point & Poole Park Lake.
As a Centre Senior, you will work as part of a fun team providing high-quality instruction in a variety of water-based activities. Whether it be a school group, uniformed group or individual clients, as part of the watersports team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and fun tuition for our wide client base and ensuring our customers have a fantastic and memorable experience with us. The role is busy and varied and no week can be described as the same. So, if you like a challenge, are keen to learn and love the outdoors like we do, this could be an amazing opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks- Lead & Deliver RYA Courses β Instruct on a range of RYA Dinghy Sailing and Powerboating courses, from beginner to advanced levels. Multihull & race experience is a bonus.
- Supervise Schools & Groups Programmes β Oversee and assist with the planning and delivery of multi-activity watersports programmes for school and youth groups.
- Instructor Mentorship & Staff Development β Support instructors, providing guidance, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Duty Manager Responsibilities β Work on a rota basis as Duty Manager, taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the centre at Rockley Point. You will also be required to cover Duty Manager responsibilities at Poole Park, ensuring smooth operations, safety, and excellent customer experience across both sites in the absence of the Centre Manager. This will include being the on-shore Senior Instructor point of contact in case of emergency on the water.
- Safety & Centre Management β Maintain the highest safety standards, ensuring compliance with RYA guidelines and centre protocols.
- Ideally you will have experience working in a team environment.

- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
- DESIRABLE RYA Multihull & race endorsements.
