Gleeson Recruitment Group are working on a retained basis with one of East Anglia's premium multi-site B2C businesses, who are looking to appoint a new Group Finance Manager to join their ever-growing Finance function. As the Group Finance Manager, you will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing group financial reporting and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You will lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide strategic insights to drive decision-making at the group level. The salary on offer is between £60,000 and £70,000, plus a bonus. You'll also benefit from 2 or 3 days a week working from home. This is the perfect first step out of practice into industry for someone with significant post-qualified experience, or for someone looking to make their 2nd industry move.

Key responsibilities:

  • Group Consolidation: Oversee the preparation and review of consolidated group financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Technical Accounting: Provide expertise on complex accounting matters, including acquisitions, disposals, impairments, and application of new standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure the group's financial reporting adheres to IFRS and statutory requirements, proactively addressing changes in standards.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to consolidation and reporting processes, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with regional finance teams, auditors, and key stakeholders to support accurate reporting and resolve technical issues.
  • Leadership: Mentor and support junior members of the finance team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous development.

About You:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Qualifications: ACA or ACCA
  • Experience: Proven track record in group financial reporting, preferably in a multinational or large organisation.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of IFRS16 or relevant accounting standards, with hands-on experience in consolidation processes.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Analytical Mindset: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Systems Proficiency: Familiarity with financial reporting systems and tools.
