Job Title: Gas Service Engineer
Location: Wythenshawe.
Salary: 22-23 an hour- 8 week temporary contract

Role Overview:

We are recruiting for a Gas Service Engineer to carry out servicing, maintenance, and emergency repairs on domestic gas appliances and heating systems. This field-based role is ideal for a safety-conscious, technically skilled professional with experience in residential properties and a strong commitment to customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service domestic gas appliances in line with manufacturer specifications and current legislation
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults to ensure safe operation
• Respond to emergency gas issues, including identifying and fixing gas escapes
• Complete safety checks and routine maintenance on systems and appliances
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation, ensuring customer satisfaction is captured
• Communicate effectively with tenants and internal teams to deliver excellent customer service
• Ensure all work areas are left clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety guidelines
• Use company-issued PDA/mobile to manage daily tasks and job records
• Maintain van stock levels and complete vehicle checks in accordance with company policy

Requirements:

• ACS Qualified in core domestic gas modules (e.g., CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1)
• Experience working in domestic settings, ideally within housing or social housing
• Good knowledge of gas safety regulations and industry standards
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organisational skills
• Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
