As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a talented and versatile Content Writer to join our team.
The Role
As a Content Writer at Breakout Media, you’ll be responsible for producing compelling, results-driven content that supports our clients’ marketing goals and enhances their online visibility. From web copy to press releases, you’ll be writing across a wide variety of formats and industries – and you’ll need to be just as comfortable optimising content for SEO as you are writing scroll-stopping posts for social media. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled writer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow within a supportive and innovative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and edit high-quality content for websites, landing pages, blog posts, social media, and press releases
- Develop content strategies aligned with SEO and broader digital marketing objectives
- Conduct research to ensure content is accurate, engaging, and relevant to each client’s industry and target audience
- Collaborate with SEO specialists, designers, and account managers to align messaging and tone
- Optimise copy for on-page SEO, readability, and conversions
- Adapt writing style for different clients, platforms, and brand voices
- Track and report on content performance when required
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years’ experience in a content writing, copywriting, or digital marketing role (agency experience preferred)
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content for web and marketing purposes
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and content best practices
- Excellent grammar, editing, and proofreading skills
- Experience writing for various channels including blogs, landing pages, press releases, and social media
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress), Google Docs, and SEO tools is a plus
