In the Manufacturing team at JLR’s Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC), you’ll help power iconic electric cars. You will be working alongside incredible technicians and leaders to drive our commitment to shape a future we truly believe in, together. The Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC) is a State of the Art production facility producing the next generation of advanced Electric Propulsion Systems to power the future vehicles of the JLR Brand. The EPMC is responsible for the manufacture of the new JLR Electric Propulsion Systems to support the next generation of JLR vehicles. Delivering a premium product, the production operations team will establish, introduce and develop the new technologies to ensure a first class supply and service to our customers.
The EPMC Maintenance Process Leader is responsible for the governance maintenance systems & processes within the plant and acts as a change authority to these processes. It also plays a key part in overall operating efficiency improvement actions as well as supporting new production and/or any major production changes.
- Supervisory role, leading and managing direct reports to deliver a strong Technical Availability.
- Analyse production performance and identify and prioritise improvement actions and projects for processes, facilities and tooling.
- Develop the maintenance strategy for the EPMC ensuring alignment with business policies and vision.
- Lead the EPMC in the global JLR IPS element of TPM.
- Work closely with manufacturing engineers, machine tools vendors, integrated production and maintenance teams across all areas and provide coaching if required.
- Responsible for deployment of Maintenance Strategy.
What You’ll Need
- Supervisory skills or Project management skills desired.
- Be aware of JLR leadership behaviours and be capable of demonstrating proven areas of strength.
- Experience and knowledge of engine component machining / assembly / testing.
- Ability to utilise preventive maintenance system data from systems such as SAP PM or similar systems.
- Understands asset management tools and techniques and is able to train to all levels of the organization.
- Be able to work independently, manage priorities, identify issues and solutions using own initiative, coupled with a desire to make a difference and tenacity to achieve results.
