The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing the process of paying employees, including calculating wages, deducting taxes and other withholdings, and ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies. They will also manage a team of payroll specialists and collaborate with other departments such as HR and accounting. The successful candidate should have strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of payroll regulations and software.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee the payroll process, ensuring the accurate and timely calculation and processing of payroll for all employees.
- Ensure payroll compliance with state/local laws, regulations, and tax requirements.
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient payroll processes.
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns and other required reports.
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to reconcile payroll data and resolve any discrepancies.
- Stay current on changes in payroll laws, regulations, and best practices, and implement updates as needed.
- Manage and supervise payroll staff, providing leadership, guidance, and training as needed.
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports and metrics, and present findings to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, with experience in a management role preferred.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Knowledge of UK, ROI and International payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information with discretion.
