Join us as Commercial Assistant and you’ll play a pivotal role in creating all of that – helping Britain achieve Net Zero by delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects.
Salary: £31,000 to £36,000 dependent on experience plus 5% bonus, 28 days holiday, market-leading pension with 7.5% employee contribution and 15% company contribution, and other benefits.
The Opportunity: As a Commercial Assistant, you’ll provide essential commercial support to the Supply Chain Management Team. You will work closely with team members across Nuclear Development to ensure successful delivery of contract requirements and their impact on the SZC Project.
The Role:
- Assess Contractor Applications: Process payment certificates in line with contractual terms.
- Review Deliveries: Attend valuation and progress review meetings as needed.
- Manage Reports: Prepare commercial cost reports, progress measurements, and compile Supplier Performance and Lessons Learned reports.
- Administer Processes: Take ownership of the Early Warning process and manage tools like CEMAR and SAP.
The Skills:
- Team Experience: Experience working in a commercial environment.
- Procurement Practices: Familiarity with industry-standard procurement practices.
- Contract Management: Basic understanding of contract performance, risk, and change management.
- Financial Knowledge: Knowledge of contracts, estimating, valuations, cost reporting, and financial modelling.
