The role is to support the business through purchasing and supply consistency and quality. Primarily ensuring that goods procured by merchandisers, and delivered by suppliers, are delivered in line with cost and service requirements.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Ensure all products are ordered with maximum cost and stock level efficiency.
- Provide business support in managing supplier performance through ongoing reviews and monthly communication.
- Key contact with all suppliers to ensure product quality, cost, and delivery requirements are maintained and managed.
- Ensure key components and products are available in line with production planning and customer demand. Forecasting, sales and stock levels will be required from inhouse departments to ensure all requirements are met.
- Provide QC stamp and ensure quality checks are made for all products on a shipment-by-shipment basis.
- Liaise with the testing department to ensure quality of products procured match the company requirements.
- Provide monthly reporting suite to senior management, highlighting any issues within the supply chain process.
