We have an opportunity for a Syndicate Accountant to join our Finance team at Tokio Marine Kiln . Reporting to the Syndicate Finance Manager, the role supports timely and accurate financial reporting and control activities related to TMK’s managed Syndicates, ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements. The role also involves ensuring correct accounting for syndicate transactions and collaborating with stakeholders to embed operational improvements from the Future at Lloyd’s Strategy and Lloyd’s Reporting Rationalisation projects into the syndicate close process. This role includes responsibilities such as: Monthly maintenance of the syndicates’ ledgers for accuracy and completeness Production and timely submission of annual and quarterly syndicate regulatory returns Production and submission of Solvency II returns for the syndicate platform Quarterly analytical review and commentary on syndicate performance and position Implementing processes to adapt to reporting changes from Lloyd\’s and other bodies Assisting in developing systems and databases for increased efficiency and automation Documenting and evidencing financial reporting controls Reviewing information received from other departments for syndicate financial returns Performing ad hoc departmental duties as required Liaising with internal and external auditors Supporting the development of team members through coaching on accounting standards and related matters Applicants must be qualified accountants with Lloyd’s/Insurance reporting and accounting experience.
