As a Senior Staff Nurse – Oncology at Brighton Hospital, you will be registered with the appropriate governing body (e.g., NMC) and possess relevant qualifications and experience. This includes post-registration experience, knowledge of mentoring, and familiarity with multi-specialty surgical procedures. Qualifications in teaching, assessment, and management are desirable. Responsibilities include: Having a completed UKONS SACT passport. Proficiency in cannulation, venepuncture, and accessing CVADs. Leading by example and embodying the Nuffield Health way of caring. Mentoring and nurturing junior colleagues to reach their potential. Applying excellent clinical skills and empathetic care to meet patient needs. Making autonomous decisions to ensure optimal patient care. Supervising junior nursing staff and students on a day-to-day basis. Contributing to scheduling, recruitment, induction, performance reviews, and training.
