Are you an experienced Sales Manager keen to support solutions within the manufacturing sector? If so, the following permanent role could be for you. My client is a leading manufacturer of custom-made steel door solutions in the Newcastle-under-Lyme area. They are looking for a Regional Sales Manager providing support to both new and existing customers. This exciting role encompasses both leadership and operational responsibilities across a defined geographic area. The RSM will ensure alignment with company goals by implementing sales strategies, including interior, exterior, commercial, and specialty doors. This is an exciting time to join a thriving business that has recently invested significantly in growth and facilities to ensure market-leading customer quality and innovation.

You will be responsible for:

  • Communicating with existing customers to ensure opportunities to quote and secure contracts
  • Using the Sales Database to track and contact existing and potential customers
  • Using other resources, e.g., internet, trade journals, for potential future business
  • Locating and targeting new markets for our products
  • Planning and prioritising activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving business aims, including costs and sales
  • Planning and managing the territory according to market development strategies
  • Managing product pricing and margins as per aims
  • Assisting in preparing customer estimates and supporting the internal sales team to generate quotes
  • Using contact activities tools and updating relevant information in systems
  • Responding to and following up sales enquiries appropriately
  • Monitoring and reporting on market and competitor activities

You will have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar sales role
  • Familiarity with door manufacturing and hardware (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques
  • A good standard of Maths and English
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to take ownership and see tasks through to completion
  • Resilience and ability to manage a large workload
  • Professional demeanour
