A logistics technician is required for our established R&D and manufacturing site at Towcester, Northamptonshire. We are a global leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of innovative optical, photonic, and electronic components. Due to our expansion plans, we need an additional logistics technician to handle the processing and movement of incoming goods. Tasks Processing incoming goods and delivery receipts Picking and dispensing stock items and general stores duties Using Oracle/PROMIS for booking in/out processes and checking stock levels Booking and bagging finished goods into stock Assisting with inventory management, including yearly stock takes Transporting chemicals around the Caswell site Cycle counting consumables and finished goods regularly Processing EML & DML shipments Supporting the return of bubblers and gas re-ordering Requirements Knowledge and Skills Good literacy and numeracy skills Ability to work independently and self-motivate Strong communication and teamwork skills High attention to detail Customer service skills, working closely with internal and external parties Experience in a similar environment is advantageous Forklift truck license (desirable) – training available Knowledge of gases and chemicals (desirable) Personal Requirements Reasonable fitness level for manual handling activities Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Well organized and focused on service delivery Good communication skills Ability to work under pressure and in a team Benefits Bonus up to 5% of salary, plus pension, healthcare, etc. #J-18808-Ljbffr
