Business Analyst is needed for a commodities and energy trading firm, covering both physicals and derivative trading. With their continued growth and onboarding new products, in line with new regulatory changes, they need a Business Analyst to work on product onboarding covering business requirements analysis, functional specification of changes, testing as required and support of UAT.
As this Technical Business Analyst, you will work on integrating a new Precious Metals Commodity Trading and Risk Management solution into our client's existing technology stack. This role requires close collaboration with internal project management, software developers, consultancy partners, and the vendor team to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
This Technical Business Analyst role is paying up to £800/Day Inside IR35, 3 days per week in the office, based in Liverpool Street. Demonstrable knowledge of Precious Metal derivatives and physicals, reporting regulations adherence, and proficiencies in SQL servers or Oracle are required.
Responsibilities of this Technical Business Analyst include working exceptionally closely with the business and software developers as the conduit between, making sure business processes are aligned with the existing software. Full Business Analyst lifecycle including gathering and understanding regulatory reporting policies and updates requirements to ensure full regulatory requirements are upheld.
As a Technical Business Analyst working in a Commodities and Energy trading firm, you will gain full front-to-back-office exposure, from pre-trade, trade capture, risk, regulations, clearing, and trade settlement. Therefore, significant exposure to the front-to-back trade lifecycle, with demonstrable knowledge of traded derivative and physical products for ETD and OTC is required, with specific knowledge around the precious metals desk.
Key skills required for the Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst include:
- Facilitate the booking of FX Spot and forward trades, and potentially interest rate derivatives.
- Provide expertise in the precious metals markets, particularly with LBMA and LPPM markets.
- Utilize knowledge of commodity derivatives trade lifecycles and associated support functions.
- Work with Oracle or SQL Server databases.
- Ensure the integration of the new solution with existing systems running the Commodity Trading Business.
