We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join us at Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth, where we are the preferred contractor for heavy civil engineering construction within and around the Royal Navy dockyard. Due to the site's nature as a high-security military navy base, additional security checks will be required, including BPSS/SC security clearance, which can take up to 8 weeks. Only candidates holding EU & NATO member passports will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities of a Civils Senior Quantity Surveyor
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will work within the Major Projects team supporting large, complex building and heavy civil engineering projects at Devonport Royal Dockyard. Your daily tasks will include:
- Managing a £40m package of works on a nuclear-licensed site, including leading and mentoring a team of junior QS professionals.
- Providing commercial input, including financial and contractual performance forecasts, to ensure business targets and KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Maximizing cash flow by ensuring timely payments.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly cost reports and analyzing trends with the contract team.
- Forecasting and monitoring expenditure against approved client budgets.
