Do you want to build unique competencies and a rewarding career in one of the fastest growing M&A advisories in Europe? BearingPoint Capital is seeking Consultants to join our global M&A team in London to work with our clients on Technology Due diligence engagements.

BearingPoint Capital is a business unit of the global management consultancy, BearingPoint. Capital is a smaller, global team that delivers M&A advisory services on both the sell-side and buy-side in transactions. Our service offerings include M&A strategy consulting, commercial and technological due diligence. In addition to M&A advisory, Capital is responsible for managing BearingPoint's own corporate portfolio, as well as our investments in Ventures.

Transaction Execution:
  • Work collaboratively with private equity and corporate clients on the buy- and sell-side to deliver technology due-diligence.
  • Gain a deep understanding of IT strategy, architecture, infrastructure and key organizational drivers that help influence excellence in IT, to support the Tech due-diligence projects.
  • Support the Manager and Senior Management by undertaking project management responsibilities.
  • Support (and where possible lead certain elements) the design, preparation, plan and delivery of engagements in the M&A space, including pre-deal (Technology due-diligence, carve-out planning) post-deal (integration/ separation) and value creation (cost reduction etc.).
  • Where required, assume ownership of workstreams in blended project delivery teams across the technology practice for projects, supporting engagement managers.
  • Be fungible to support global teams on projects that expand commercial and technology knowledge base.
  • Organize and participate in client meetings, supporting the preparation, planning and assisting in the delivery of pitches, RFP’s, RFI’s etc.
  • Assist in developing and executing BearingPoint’s firmwide M&A strategy.
  • Opportunity to work beyond technology due diligence to support carve-out and integrations.
Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of relevant and related work experience in an M&A advisor or consulting environment.
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science with an outstanding academic record from leading universities.
  • A good understanding of information technology including software architectural principles, IT infrastructure, SDLC is required.
  • Good command of English language, with experience of delivering high-quality reports and presentations, written and spoken.
  • Demonstrated interest in the intersection between M&A, strategy and technology.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Fluency in English (European languages desirable).
  • Exposure to the development and execution of our firmwide M&A strategy, including venture investments.
  • Exposure to both our technology due diligence and advisory (commercial due diligence) work streams.
  • Collaboration with top-tier clients, including leading Private Equity firms, family offices and strategic investors.
  • An informal and “easy to work with” culture.
