In this role, you'll be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the MRP system, working closely with business users to troubleshoot issues, maintain performance, and manage updates and improvements.
Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure Oracle database runs at optimal performance, maximizing uptime and smooth operation.
- Collaborate with users to resolve system and data issues, perform preventative maintenance, and conduct regular system checks.
- Design and implement reports and routines to meet stakeholder needs, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.
- Test new installations for compatibility with existing systems.
- Provide support during month-end and year-end cycles to ensure system integrity.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Over 5 years of experience with MRP/Oracle databases on Unix IBM systems in a commercial setting.
- Proficiency in Evolution report writing within Unix using the vi editor.
- Basic Oracle SQL knowledge and Unix fundamentals.
- Experience with BDE script creation and screen development in Unix environments.
- Strong analytical skills for data assessment and decision making.
- Leadership qualities to mentor junior team members and collaborate on projects.
