Role Overview: Reporting to the Security Manager, the Deputy Security Manager will oversee security operations across the Waterloo Campus, associated residences, and other campus areas. The role serves as the primary contact for Security Supervisors and assists the Security Manager in managing security responses and team leadership at Waterloo.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage security standards and ensure high conduct and customer service skills among security staff.
- Provide effective leadership, support, and guidance to the security team through line management.
- Maintain a visible presence on site, addressing issues proactively and providing expert advice to ensure exceptional service.
- Lead on incident management and critical security situations, leveraging your extensive security industry experience.
- Develop strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including experience working with Unions and HR matters.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will have a proven background in security, especially in high-footfall and multi-site environments. Strong communication skills are essential, along with a customer-focused approach and leadership experience.
