Marks Sattin is collaborating with a well-established business in the Retail industry to expand their Tax team in the Northwest. This is an exciting opportunity within a fast-paced and evolving environment to join a dynamic company.
The Role: We are seeking an individual with strong knowledge of Corporation Tax and VAT to support and develop the team. The role involves working closely with senior finance leaders, delivering a range of tax compliance and advisory services across UK and international tax matters. The ideal candidate is team-oriented and capable of maintaining positive relationships with colleagues.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual Corporation Tax returns
- Oversee the preparation of overseas Corporation Tax and VAT returns
- Complete period-end processes and monthly tax reporting
- Review existing tax processes and suggest improvements
- Maintain accurate tax cash flow forecasts and assist in preparing tax forecasts and budgets for FP&A colleagues
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external advisors
- Support the Head of Tax with daily queries
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Corporation Tax
- Experience with VAT returns
- Studying towards or possessing a relevant finance qualification
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Ability to communicate complex finance concepts to non-finance colleagues
