This household name in the FMCG space is currently undergoing radical transformation programmes within their technology category and seeks up-and-coming technology procurement candidates to join their growing team during an exciting period of transformation.
Procurement has excellent backing from the board and other internal senior stakeholders. This means that you will be playing a critical part in the function’s journey towards Best-in-Class, building out and implementing procurement strategy without the usual constraints that are seen in this type of environment!
If you are an ambitious Procurement Manager, with some experience in the IT Procurement space, and you are looking for a very strategic, transforming environment where you will be working with spends in the tens of £millions, then this is the ideal role for you!
As a Technology Sourcing Manager, you will:
- Lead on business-critical technology procurement projects across multiple IT subcategories such as Software, Infrastructure & IT Professional Services
- Design and implement brand-new technology procurement strategy in this Greenfield environment, partnering with the technology and customer innovation teams
- Work at a fast pace, building long-term relationships with key stakeholders as you plan the strategy for the future pipeline of projects for 2022 and beyond
- Lead on commercial negotiations with new and existing stakeholders, taking responsibility for the management of some of the largest contracts across the business
Senior Manager (Software & Technology) required background:
- Experience across technology procurement, across subcategory areas such as software, infrastructure & IT Professional Services, however, indirect generalists will also be considered
- Exposure to or a desire to work in a fast-paced background, ideally having worked with project spends in the tens of £millions
- Strong academic record is beneficial but not essential (degree + CIPS)
- Strong stakeholder and contract management skills
