About the role… As a Store Detective, you will be responsible for:
- Providing a fair and consistent level of enforcement of all company policies and procedures and maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Identifying and advising store management and staff of any possible stock loss risks and best practices in loss prevention.
- Detecting, apprehending, and detaining persons guilty of stealing company property, cash, or merchandise.
- Conducting regular and random searches of employee and contractor possessions in line with company policy.
The ideal candidate for the Store Detective position will hold an SIA Licence and have previous experience in security and loss prevention, particularly in a luxury retail environment. In addition, the candidate must have a good knowledge of criminal law, court procedures, and security equipment. They must possess strong communication, organizational, and planning skills, along with self-motivation and the ability to quickly adapt to challenging situations.
The working hours for this position are 37.5 hours a week, working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, inclusive of weekends. Is this you?
