We are currently recruiting for a Legal Advisor to enable this international organisation to meet and deliver their charitable objectives. As Legal Advisor, you will be providing legal advice and support in relation to complex issues across the whole organisation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of three years PQE in legal work, with experience in contracts, data protection, and intellectual property.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Management of the legal mailbox
- Draft and review a range of contractual matters including general commercial contracts and contract management
- Provide general advice and support on commercial data and GDPR related queries
- Support in drafting policy and procedure to combat key risk areas as identified by Legal and Risk Team.
- Build strong relationships across teams and directorates within the organisation.
Skills and experience required:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, also by way of experience and relevant post qualification experience (ideally gained in-house)
- UK or Commonwealth qualified lawyer
- At least 3 years+ PQE in legal work
- High level of skills, knowledge and experience in commercial contract law
- Experience of IP law
- Broad knowledge of UK GDPR regulations (applying & managing GDPR compliance)
- Broad experience of charity regulations
- Experience of charity sector or corporate sector/procurement/supply chains
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written communication and presentation / verbal communication skills
- Commercially astute
- IT Skills, including MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams.
