The Manager, Operations is responsible for managing an assigned facility, focusing on profitability, efficiency, mentoring staff, and developing strategies for growth and best practices within the location.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the location, addressing customer, employee, and facility issues.
- Hire, train, and evaluate staff; conduct interviews; set professional development goals; mentor technicians; ensure motivation and productivity.
- Make recommendations regarding promotions, transfers, hiring, and exits.
- Coordinate work schedules and manage team assignments.
- Apply industry knowledge to provide technical solutions, prepare quotes, review test reports, and ensure work quality.
- Maintain customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer service.
- Review jobs for profitability and work on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare reports and work with HSE to develop safety practices.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as NETA, NEC, OSHA, NFPA.
- Understanding of heavy industrial, utility, large commercial, renewable energy sectors, and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Ability to work safely following electrical safety procedures.
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
- Customer-focused approach and accuracy in work.
- Valid driver’s license if using a company vehicle.
Additional Information
- Location: Albany, NY.
- Salary: $130,000-$160,000 plus 15% bonus.
- Relocation assistance available.
