Senior Vehicle Wrap Graphic Designer | Hamilton, Scotland | Full Time | £35,000.00 per year

To help them continue delivering cutting-edge designs, they are seeking a highly skilled and creative Vehicle Wrap Designer to join their team.

As a Vehicle Wrap Designer, you will be at the forefront of their creative process, responsible for conceptualising and executing bold, eye-catching designs for a wide range of vehicles. Your creativity and technical expertise will play a crucial role in transforming clients\’ visions into striking, high-impact wraps that stand out on the road. This role requires a deep understanding of design principles, extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of vehicle design.

Are you the right person for the job?

• 5 years of experience in graphic design
• Certificate of Higher Education
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, with strong skills in vector design and preparation for large-format printing
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for complementary design tasks, such as image manipulation and mock-ups
• Strong creative vision with the ability to translate client ideas into visually compelling vehicle wraps
• Exceptional design skills with a keen eye for colour, typography, and layout
• In-depth understanding of vehicle wrap design requirements, including file preparation, colour management, and template usage
• Familiarity with the unique challenges of designing for different vehicle types, ensuring a seamless and professional final product
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all designs are accurate and visually aligned before production
• Ability to spot and correct any potential design issues during the conceptualisation and preparation phases
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with clients and team members
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

What will your role look like?

• Conceptualise and design custom vehicle wraps that align with client branding and marketing objectives
• Develop unique, innovative designs that make vehicles stand out and effectively communicate the client\’s message
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, brand identity, and design preferences, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded
• Create detailed, accurate vehicle wrap designs using Adobe Illustrator, ensuring designs fit precisely to the contours and dimensions of various vehicles
• Work with vehicle templates to ensure all graphics are correctly scaled and positioned for an optimal final appearance
• Prepare final design files for production, ensuring they are ready for large-format printing with correct colour profiles, resolution, and bleed
• Engage directly with clients to present design concepts, gather feedback, and make necessary revisions
• Provide expert advice on design possibilities and constraints, helping clients make informed decisions about their vehicle wrap designs
• Maintain high standards of design quality, ensuring all work is thoroughly reviewed for accuracy, alignment, and visual impact before production
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and techniques to continuously improve the quality and creativity of our designs
• Keep abreast of the latest trends in vehicle wrap design, graphics, and marketing to inspire fresh, innovative concepts
• Experiment with new design ideas, materials, and techniques to push the creative boundaries of vehicle wrapping
• Work closely with the print and installation teams to ensure designs are practically feasible and that the final wrap matches the original design intent
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials showcasing your design work, including social media content and portfolio pieces
