Job Description Behavioral Health Clinician I’s act as an extension of the psychiatric provider. Working in collaboration with the behavioral health team, medical team, and community stakeholders, the BHC is responsible for: Completing psychosocial assessments Developing treatment plans Monitoring patient progress towards treatment goals Crisis de-escalation With clinical supervision, works independently to evaluate and recommend appropriate levels of care for behavioral health patients using knowledge of diagnostic criteria. Goals and Responsibilities Facilitate services that provide psychiatric providers with necessary information to finalize dispositions based on patient needs. Work with diverse populations, age groups, and diagnoses. Serve as the primary educator on mental health topics to patients and families. Facilitate patient-centered, trauma-informed brief individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy within the acute care setting, when indicated. Initiate coordination of discharge and aftercare services as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
