Are You Ready to Lead High-Impact Projects in the Food & Beverage space? We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience within the food and beverage industry to join our team. If you\’ve led complex, multinational projects over £5 million, bring strong intercultural expertise, and thrive on driving project success with full financial accountability, this role could be your next big step!
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll take on full end-to-end project responsibility, guiding every phase from initial quoting through to commissioning and project closure.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Project Leadership: Oversee large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with our high standards and guiding cross-functional teams to success. You’ll drive all aspects of project execution, from planning and scheduling to commissioning, managing multiple teams without direct line authority.
- Financial Accountability: Lead projects with full financial oversight, tracking costs, margins, and man-hour estimates to optimise outcomes and ensure profitability.
- Stakeholder & Customer Management: Act as the main point of contact, managing complex stakeholder relationships and customer expectations. You\’ll oversee reporting to steering committees and clients, maintaining clear, consistent communication at every stage.
- Scheduling & Monitoring: Create and maintain project schedules, monitoring milestones to stay on track and ensure efficient resource utilisation.
- Site & Safety Oversight: Manage on-site activities through a site manager, maintaining high safety standards and ensuring health and safety compliance.
- Risk & Change Management: Implement proactive risk management strategies, adapting to project shifts and handling claims and change orders to maintain alignment with scope, schedule, and cost goals.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a high-performing team of project engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement, while managing diverse, multinational teams.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Extensive Technical Expertise: 10+ years leading large-scale technical projects, ideally in liquid processing or food and beverage, with a deep understanding of industry standards and project methodologies.
- Commercial Acumen: Skilled in legal and contractual matters, negotiation, and commercial project management, with a sharp ability to assess risks and maximise opportunities.
- Leadership & Interpersonal Skills: Strong intercultural and cross-functional leadership, excelling in team coordination and influence across multiple business units.
- Certified Project Management: PMI certification (or equivalent) with practical experience managing complex multinational projects.
