About The Role
As a Purchaser, you will ensure the smooth flow of materials and services, work with suppliers, secure deals, maintain stock, and support production targets. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team where your contributions matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise purchase orders and manage product codes
- Source and select new suppliers
- Negotiate rates with suppliers and contractors
- Track deliveries and verify goods received
- Liaise with suppliers on quotes, lead times, and deliveries
- Generate financial and stock reports
- Support stock takes and FSC audits
- Improve purchasing processes
- Provide cover for the Senior Purchaser when needed
Essential Requirements
- Experience in procurement or purchasing
- Proficiency with electronic purchasing and costing systems like ERP
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Professional, friendly, and supportive attitude
