Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for providing a customer-focused, effective, and efficient Transport Management facility at a local level, ensuring compliance with all current and relevant transport legislation and Safe Systems of Work. You will support the Transport Manager in implementing the Company’s Standard Operational Policies, Procedures, and Practices.
ACCOUNTABILITIES: You will be accountable for supervising the transport and administration team, proactively reviewing working practices and procedures to improve performance in line with KPI targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational
- Support and oversee daily administration and operational tasks within the transport office
- Oversee the administration function
- Act as a local contact for all transport/driver requirements, representing MTS and ensuring the company's best interests
- Ensure the local fleet operates within the operator’s licence requirements and good practice, reporting non-conformities
- Maintain standard MTS administration systems complying with legislation
- Keep accurate vehicle and driver records locally
- Serve as a contact point for transport needs related to the Sales Teams
- Deputise for the Assistant Transport Manager as required
Internal Control
- Adhere to all company administrative procedures
- Respond promptly to management requests and instructions
- Ensure team members understand and follow the employee handbook and policies
- Support compliance with laws and regulations relevant to the role
- Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Customer
- Handle customer collections promptly and politely
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional corporate image
- Proactively improve customer service and fleet efficiency
- Review team performance regularly to meet performance targets
