This is an exciting opportunity to join Capital One’s UK Supplier Management Office (SMO). We have roles available in Vendor Relationship Management. Our Supplier Management Office manages the entire Third Party lifecycle for Capital One in the UK, including sourcing, contracting, and ongoing supplier/vendor relationship management.
You will manage assigned third-party suppliers, supporting business stakeholders by overseeing the relationship to ensure a stable supply chain. You’ll join a team of passionate Supply Chain Vendor Relationship professionals who value and understand the importance of every part of the Supply Chain process.
What you’ll do:
- Manage key supplier relationships and undertake activities across the supplier lifecycle (Due Diligence, Selection, Contracting, Onboarding, Monitoring, Offboarding).
- Collaborate with SMO peers, Risk and Governance teams, and Sourcing functions.
- Serve as the primary contact for your suppliers and internal stakeholders, maintaining effective communication and governance.
- Develop detailed knowledge of your suppliers’ business to build credibility and deliver optimal service.
- Work with internal clients to understand issues and improvement opportunities, facilitating discussions with suppliers.
- Gain market knowledge to evolve relationships and support category strategies.
- Manage contracts in coordination with legal teams, including amendments and renewals.
- Ensure performance, risk, and compliance with Capital One’s Third Party Management policy.
- Travel to various sites as required.

Location and Working Style:
This is a permanent position based in Nottingham with a hybrid working model (3 days in the office: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays). Flexible working arrangements are available.
