Linxon is seeking a highly experienced Document Controller to join our team for the Didcot project. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the document management systems required by the company, in cooperation with engineering teams and the field operation team.
What will you do?
- Maintain lists of documents, code documents, and ensure reviews, numbering, distribution, filing, and registration are in compliance with procedures.
- Ensure contractors at the site operate with the latest and updated drawing revisions.
- Properly store and communicate red marks on "issued for construction" drawings to respective company functions (engineering and field operation team).
- Support the field operation team by providing correct drawing information.
- Apply company procedures related to document management information systems correctly, including verifying format, receipt, registration, numbering, filing, recovery, and issuing of documents.
- Prepare operating manuals and maintain them per the engineering teams' index.
- Organize final documents and maintain them in archives.
- Coordinate with project document controllers located at Linxon Global Engineering Center (Chennai, India).
Requirements
- Experience in the power transmission/distribution sector, with involvement in construction projects.
- Extensive experience in documentation control systems (PIRS / Aconex).
- International experience and knowledge of utilities, standards, and specifications.
- Experience working in multicultural environments with intercultural sensitivity to lead and motivate teams.
