Maintenance Operative | South London | Competitive Salary + Company Vehicle with Tools

Full-Time | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Mobile

Are you a hands-on professional with strong plumbing skills and a background in multi-trade maintenance? We're looking for a proactive and reliable Maintenance Operative to join our team and keep our stores operating safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

About the Role:

Working across our London store network, you'll carry out a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. From plumbing and carpentry to minor electrical work and decorating, you'll take pride in keeping our facilities in excellent condition.

This is a mobile role, so a full UK driving licence is essential. A company van and tools will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plumbing: Fix leaks, unblock pipes, replace taps, and refit sanitaryware.
  • Carpentry: Adjust and fit doors, locks, shelves, decking, and cabinet repairs.
  • Painting & Decorating: Touch-ups and general repairs across office and storage areas.
  • Sheet Metalwork: Repair signage, bollards, trolleys, and storage units.
  • Electrical: Replace lamps and starters.
  • General Maintenance: Ad-hoc repairs and maintenance as directed by your line manager.

What You'll Need:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar maintenance role
  • Proven plumbing skills (essential)
  • Competency in a range of trades (carpentry, painting, minor electrics)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work unsupervised
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and courteous approach
