Job Description

Vacancy: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer\\n\\nHours of work: 6.00am to 2.30pm & 1.30pm to 10pm (40 hours)\\n\\nLocation: Milton Keynes\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\n * Fault finding and repair of on-line breakdowns and off-line equipment.\\n\\n * Repair plant / machinery faults in a timely manner and have the initiative to request assistance if the fault cannot be rectified within a reasonable time period.\\n\\n * Carry out daily inspections on guarding, air, steam and water leaks and complete repairs as necessary.\\n\\n * Complete weekly environmental inspections and testing.\\n\\n * Adhere to and work the call-out and on-call system as required.\\n\\n * Planned maintenance is carried out in accordance with the schedule on the following: Conveyors, Press Machinery, Laundry Machinery, Steam Systems, Fluid Systems, Pneumatics and Hydraulics.\\n\\n * Implement modifications and improvements to all levels to improve efficiency.\\n\\n * Install new equipment and to relocate existing equipment throughout the site, including the installation of power/utilities.\\n\\n * General fitting duties e.g. checking and installing bearings, replacing belts, couplings, diaphragms etc.\\n\\nSkills/Experience Desired:\\n\\n * Familiarity of working on low-voltage equipment, ultra low control voltage and 3 phase equipment\\n\\n * Experience of electric and inverter motor starters, plus DC experience.\\n\\n * Qualified to 18th Edition. Inspect and Test Qualification would be advantageous.\\n\\n * PLC Program and fault finding.

Ideally Allen Bradley and Siemens (S7+Logo).\\n\\n * Familiar with steam, hydraulic and pneumatic systems\\n\\n * Able to weld and work with pipework, pumps, fitting etc\\n\\n * Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.\\n\\n * Understand preventative maintenance techniques and an ability to scrutinise diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications, production equipment and ancillary plant equipment, such as boilers, cooling towers, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, using tools appropriate for the job.\\n\\n * Should be able to examine electrical components to detect failure causes using test equipment and other measuring instruments. AC invertor controls and AC/DC drives would be advantageous.\\n\\nSalary 47K + on call bonus + Overtime
