About the Production Manager role Working with the General Manager, you\’ll ensure production priorities are maintained while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the factory. You\’ll lead by example, ensuring output, safety, quality, and team performance all meet high internal and client standards. Key duties as the Production Manager Supervising and monitoring operatives – quality, productivity, and conduct. Supporting production planning and preparing materials for next-day site installations. Managing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS). Writing Method Statements, Risk Assessments, COSHH, HAVS assessments, and Inspection Test Plans. Maintaining the training matrix and ensuring appropriate certification coverage for the site team. Liaising with suppliers regarding sub-standard materials and checking supplier invoices for discrepancies. Ordering welding consumables, engineering supplies, fasteners, and other workshop essentials. Calculating and measuring materials for powder coating to ensure accurate costing. Overseeing maintenance, fault diagnostics, and servicing of machinery and vehicles (including forklift trucks). Coordinating with the training provider on apprentice progress. Staying on top of PAT testing and workshop safety compliance. What you will need to apply for the Production Manager position. Proven experience in a welding/fabrication environment. Strong leadership and continuous improvement skills. Good working knowledge of health and safety. Good general IT skills. What you will receive as the production manager Competitive salary, depending on experience. Hours of work 41 hours per week – flexible (typically 7:30 am-5:30 pm Mon-Thurs, 7:30 am-12:30 pm Fri).
