What success looks like in this role: Join our dynamic team providing 24/7 support for mission-critical applications. We are seeking a skilled Dev Support Engineer to enhance our Command-and-Control services, focusing on management information components. You will be based at Hendon, Greater London, or Milton Keynes (3 days per week).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support and implement software enhancements.
- Identify and resolve issues for end users.
- Analyse and fix interface problems between system components.
- Develop creative solutions and enhancements.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Minimum Requirements:
- Business Information, JavaScript, HTML, CSS development or support capability.
- Oracle development and scripting experience or similar.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar.
Additional Skills:
- Web Development experience using the above technologies would be advantageous.
- Experience in Application Support and willingness to learn our business information platform.
- Experience with Pandas and other Python data manipulation packages.
- Strong data manipulation skills.
- SQL/Relational Database experience.
- Ability to apply technical expertise in a service delivery environment.
- Develop solutions without impacting system operations.
- A working knowledge of development frameworks such as MVC, MVVM or similar would be beneficial.
- Good understanding of ITIL.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in Public Sector organizations is a plus.
