The Role

  • Lead the development and implementation of outstanding care and support practice
  • Equip staff with the skills and confidence to deliver trauma-informed, relational, and child-centered care
  • Work closely with managers and frontline teams to meet the emotional, social, and developmental needs of children in our homes
  • Coach and mentor staff, lead training workshops, and embed a learning culture aligned with our restorative and child-rights-based practice model
  • Drive quality assurance and improvement work, closing the loop on feedback and audits

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with at least 5 years' experience in statutory social work
  • Significant experience working with:
  • Children and families in need and child protection
  • Looked after children and care proceedings
  • Residential settings and/or children's homes
  • Proven ability to:
    • Deliver workshops, coaching and mentoring
    • Lead or support service improvement and practice development
    • Quickly build strong working relationships with staff and young people
  • Enhanced DBS (preferably on the update service)
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Driver's licence and right to work in the UK
  • Available to live and work full-time on the Island for the full duration of the contract
