Please note you must have Class One Prison clearance to be considered for this role due to working in Category A prisons unescorted. As well as a drivers license and CSCS / NVQ Level 2.
A leader in the provision of fire protection services is looking for an experienced fire door engineer/carpenter to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. You will be working on a category A prison, carrying out new installations, upgrades and maintenance works to existing doors and frames.
The works will be based in the midlands but may cover nationwide as and when needed including staying away. Due to the category of the prison you must hold enhanced security clearance already.

Responsibilities include:
- Installing and carrying out remedial works to new and existing fire doors
- Complete works in line with the manufacturer’s specification
- Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately
- Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work
The successful candidate will have:
- At least three years’ experience working with fire doors
- NVQ or equivalent in carpentry and joinery
- Experience installing fire doors and frames, full sets and full assemblies
- Full UK driving license
- 3rd party accreditation/registration under the FIRAS scheme (desired)
