Brave, Innovative, Straightforward. At Skyscanner, we like to keep things simple. Working here involves collaboration, ownership and bags of innovation. We’re not afraid to admit that it’s different from the norm. But if you’re our kind of Systems Engineer, you’ll feel right at home.

Have you innovated and administered enterprise-grade Generative AI tools before? Our team has begun focusing on expanding its use within the business and building integrations and processes that specifically target improvement in business productivity. To do this we require somebody who is adept at creative problem solving and familiar with utilising Infrastructure as code to create automations.

The team also administers and supports SaaS tools like Jira, Confluence, SharePoint and O365 so any additional experience you have in these tools will be seen as an advantage. You’ll be using these technologies to create a truly digital workplace for our thousands of employees. And that involves designing and operating cloud-native systems and services, including open-source, internally built and commercial third-party solutions.

You can expect system administration and application support; troubleshooting and diagnosis; and automation and scripting. While a passion for developing yourself and learning to lead will take you far in this role, great communication skills will be essential when it comes to explaining technical changes to our internal users.

We need your expertise to help us do something great for over 100 million travellers: make booking stays and journeys more sustainable and straightforward. It involves technical challenges and the latest technology – but that’s ok by you. In fact, it’s exactly what you want.

As a Systems Engineer, you’ll be helping your colleagues to achieve their goals by enabling them with communication tools, applications and devices. You'll join the team in the administration and enhancement of a number of core business applications to create and deploy new solutions and tools and provide support to their global user base. The applications include task management, file management, and documentation as well as some purpose-built tools.

Skyscanner is a hybrid working company and most roles can be either Full Time or Part Time. We believe when people meet regularly in person, we are better able to innovate, learn, collaborate and inspire. We ask people to be in the office on average 8 days per month.

Already a global leader in travel, we want to elevate the way we work to a whole other level. In return, you’ll get important things like medical insurance, health screenings, headspace subscriptions, the option to buy more holiday and a support programme for you and your loved ones. We’ll also help you donate to good causes and spend time volunteering. And you’ll have the opportunity to work from your home country for 3 weeks a year, and 30 days in our other global offices. Everything, in other words, to help you relax and give your best.
