Right now, we’re looking for a Settlement Manager to join our finance team and support the day-to-day operations of our payment settlement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Settlements Team, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of payment and financial transactions.
- Manage settlements with Payment Service Providers (PSPs), including verifying the accuracy and completeness of reports received from PSPs, and reconcile with banks and the operational processing system.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of values resulting from settlement reports in the operational system.
- Reconcile GL accounts related to settlements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute periodic reports on settlement activities.
- Support projects related to settlements and collaborate with other departments to resolve issues related to failed or incomplete transactions.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve settlement processes and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Settlements Team, including assigning tasks, developing and motivating employees, and tracking their performance.
- Assist in building and testing products, operational systems for payments, finance and reconciliation.
- Analysis on PSP performance and associated cost.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial settlements or a related role in payment industry.
- Proven experience in team management and leadership.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial and accounting software.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, VBA, Power Query, and other relevant tools.
- Relevant certifications in finance or accounting are a plus.
- Knowledge of complex payments operations and the ability to resolve issues quickly and accurately.
