Vacancy No 5349\\n\\nVacancy Title Head of Geo-Environmental\\n\\nLocation: Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home\\n\\nVacancy Description\\n\\nAre you an experienced geo-environmental specialist ready to step into a leadership role?\\n\\nOur client is seeking a proactive and commercially minded Head of Geo-Environmental to take charge of their established but growing department. This is a key management position where you’ll be responsible for delivering a wide range of services — including ground investigations, waste assessments, and geo-environmental testing — while developing your team and helping shape the future of the business.\\n\\nWhat the role involves:\\n\\n * Managing day-to-day operations across both lab and site-based services\\n\\n * Leading and developing a technical team with a supportive, hands-on management style\\n\\n * Monitoring budgets, analysing KPIs, and ensuring profitable performance\\n\\n * Preparing and reviewing reports to ensure high technical and quality standards\\n\\n * Building and maintaining strong client relationships\\n\\n * Contributing to business growth and strategic direction, including client development and proposal writing\\n\\n * Ensuring compliance with UKAS, ISO 17025, internal quality standards, and all relevant health & safety policies.\\n\\nWhat they’re looking for\\n\\n * Solid experience in ground investigation, contaminated land, waste classification, and geo-environmental testing\\n\\n * A degree in Geology, Environmental Chemistry, or a related field (preferred)\\n\\n * A strong understanding of health and safety procedures, including RAMS and PPE use\\n\\n * Proven leadership skills with a collaborative, forward-thinking mindset\\n\\n * Excellent communication and analytical skills\\n\\n * Willingness to travel occasionally and stay overnight when needed\\n\\n * A full UK driving licence\\n\\nWhat’s on offer:\\n\\n * Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days remote)\\n\\n * 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, with the option to buy extra days and increased entitlement with length of service\\n\\n * Enhanced family leave (6 months full pay for maternity/adoption/shared parental, 2 weeks full paternity pay)\\n\\n * Annual bonus scheme and regular salary reviews\\n\\n * Enhanced pension contributions\\n\\n * Life assurance (4x salary)\\n\\n * Access to EAP, 24/7 GP support, and eye care vouchers\\n\\n * Cycle to Work scheme and a branded welcome pack\\n\\n * Milestone recognition, from sabbaticals to personal gifts and charity donations\\n\\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career with a forward-thinking and supportive organisation
