The KPMG Business Services function is a cornerstone of our UK business. Operating from 20 UK locations and sitting with KPMG Central Services, we do work that matters. Within Central Services, we are part of a community of experts across a wide range of critical activities who help grow, run, and protect KPMG in the UK.

The Resource Manager will provide a professional resource management service within Audit, working collaboratively with Resource Management across Audit to deliver consistent and effective resource support to the Audit function as a whole.

  • Oversee the forward planning process.
  • Work with the RI’s, PL’s and Engagement Managers to ensure effective staff planning/resource.
  • Collaborate with the Resourcing Senior Manager and other Resourcing Managers across the Audit function to ensure a consistent approach is applied to forward planning.
  • Continuously review and develop the resourcing transformation/strategy for resourcing within Audit.
  • Ensure consistency in implementation of new processes and procedures, particularly around ISQM compliance and monitoring.
  • Be the escalation point for urgent resource requests across respective areas of Audit.
  • Attend regular meetings with the POD/HUB/Segment Leads to ensure critical shortfall issues are dealt with effectively.
  • Keep the Headcount Tracker fully updated and link in with POD/HUB/Segment Leads on capacity/shortfalls to feed into recruitment.
  • Work collaboratively with KGS Champions and offshore leads on any projects/issues relating to KGS.
  • Responsible for day-to-day supervision and performance management of individuals within the resourcing team.
  • Lead, develop and motivate staff, taking full responsibility for individual and team performance, coaching, development and communications.
  • Influence strategic resourcing, training and recruitment decisions through presentation of information that is timely and informative.
