Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) develops Environmental Cases and provides Environmental Management advice to the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) for various contracts, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and the UK MoD Project Oriented Environmental Management System (POEMS).
We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our growing Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) Environmental Engineering team. The role involves leading engineering activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements, advising managers on environmental risks, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and representing Boeing at environmental forums. This is an excellent opportunity for early career or experienced engineers to gain diverse environmental discipline experience and develop technical skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Integrating Environmental Management considerations into the design and development of Boeing products and services.
- Developing and implementing Environmental Management strategies for projects.
- Supporting the Environmental Management System and UK environmental legislation compliance.
- Promoting sustainability within UK programmes and gaining recognition for sustainability efforts.
- Collaborating with technical teams and representing Boeing at industry events.
- Advising on legislative environmental requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
