Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome behavioural challenges in the classroom? We are currently recruiting Behaviour Mentors for a SEMH School based in Liverpool.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people, particularly those who may face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.

Role Overview:

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students to develop positive behaviours and attitudes towards learning. You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral leads, and external agencies to help students overcome barriers and thrive in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students displaying challenging behaviour
  • Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and emotional wellbeing
  • Support behaviour interventions and pastoral strategies across the school
  • Monitor and record student progress and contribute to behaviour support plans
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure consistency and structure in the classroom
  • Promote an inclusive and respectful learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties
  • Be calm, patient, and confident when managing challenging behaviour
  • Be a good communicator and effective team player
  • Be passionate about inclusion and committed to the wellbeing of all students
  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Ideally hold relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning, or equivalent), but not essential
