We are working with a well-known and respected law firm with offices located in Leeds city centre. Looking to add a Legal Assistant to their team with development to Legal Secretary with a background within Litigation, this busy role will be supporting partners and fee earners across the business. Initially office based, 9-5.30 Monday- Friday, there is an opportunity to work one day from home after probation.

Working in a secretarial team, key duties will involve:

  • Typing of correspondence and documents
  • Filing/scanning/printing
  • Document collation
  • Preparation of legal bundles
  • Raising/paying invoices
  • Receive incoming telephone calls
  • Arrange meetings and travel for fee earners as required
  • Prepare monthly bills and billing reports for clients
  • Maintain an accurate filing system
  • File closing in preparation for archiving
  • Undertaking searches, anti-money laundering and conflict checks

  • Minimum of 2 years legal assistant/ administration experience
  • Litigation experience
  • Experience with case management systems
  • Experience supporting a related litigation team
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Friendly and professional manner with a strong 'can do' attitude
  • High standards of accuracy with attention to detail
