We are working with a well-known and respected law firm with offices located in Leeds city centre. Looking to add a Legal Assistant to their team with development to Legal Secretary with a background within Litigation, this busy role will be supporting partners and fee earners across the business. Initially office based, 9-5.30 Monday- Friday, there is an opportunity to work one day from home after probation.
Working in a secretarial team, key duties will involve:
- Typing of correspondence and documents
- Filing/scanning/printing
- Document collation
- Preparation of legal bundles
- Raising/paying invoices
- Receive incoming telephone calls
- Arrange meetings and travel for fee earners as required
- Prepare monthly bills and billing reports for clients
- Maintain an accurate filing system
- File closing in preparation for archiving
- Undertaking searches, anti-money laundering and conflict checks

- Minimum of 2 years legal assistant/ administration experience
- Litigation experience
- Experience with case management systems

- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Friendly and professional manner with a strong 'can do' attitude
- High standards of accuracy with attention to detail
